WELCOME

Join us for worship Sunday morning at 10:00.  Get Directions

Christ The King Anglican Church was formed in the latter part of 2006.

We are a member parish of the Gulf Atlantic Diocese in the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).  Our Bishop is The Right Reverend Alex Farmer and our Rector is The Reverend David C. Allert.

The Lord brings many new people to Christ The King from various places for various reasons.  Because we are a safe place, many who have been wounded in ministry or by churches have made Christ The King their home.  Regardless of why you come, we warmly welcome each visitor and pray God’s blessings on you and yours always.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

What is Anglicanism?

 Our Mission

Love God

with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.

Become Disciples
for our desire, as pilgrims on the way,
is to become like Him.

Serve Others
for it is in serving others as Jesus did that we show God’s love in us and through us to all people.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

Thank you to all who came to the church on Tuesday, February 13th, the day before the beginning of Lent, for pancake supper and fellowship!

And thank you to the Faith Chapter of the Daughters of the Holy Cross for preparing and serving delicious pancakes and bacon with all the trimmings! A wonderful time of fellowship was had by all!

Historical Note: The day Shrove Tuesday takes its name from “shriving” – the pre-Lenten confession and absolution of the faithful as a preparation for Lent that was common in the European Middle Ages.  Feasting on foods initially prohibited during Lent, such as eggs, milk products, and meat, was integral to Shrove Tuesday observance.  Making pancakes was a way of using up supplies of milk, eggs and meat before Ash Wednesday.

The University Chorale

Friday, March 8 ~ 7:00PM at CTK

Please come for this wonderful concert of JOYFUL HOPE! Invite your family, friends and neighbors to be blessed by their performance. The University Chorale, conducted by Dr. Kent Walters, is a select choral ensemble that performs a variety of choral literature from Renaissance to contemporary genres, including gospel and spirituals. The Chorale focuses on the expression of beauty in choral artistry, combining musicianship and servant hearts for the glory of God and the consequent joy of both singer and the audience.

Please mark your calendars for Sunday, February 25th and plan to attend the Annual Parish Meeting as we give thanks to God for what He is doing in our church and community, both near and far.

Biblical Stewardship Training Classes

Starting February 18th, please join us as we journey through our upcoming class: “Stewardship of Time, Talents, and Treasure.” This series of four classes will focus on the Christian art of stewardship, exploring how we can faithfully manage our time, nurture our God-given talents, and wisely handle our financial resources. We will seek to balance work, rest, and worship in a way that honors God and enriches our lives. Each of the four sessions will include insightful Bible studies, some take home worksheets, and real-life applications that resonate with all stages of life. Don’t miss this opportunity to grow in your faith and stewardship. Join us and be part of a journey towards a more purposeful and spiritually fulfilling life!
This series of one-hour classes on Sundays after church will begin on Sunday, February 18th for four weeks. If you wish to participate, please call the church office at 904.460.2318 so that materials can be prepared.
